Raleigh Chiropractors – Meet The Doctors

Dr. James Winget, Doctor Of Chiropractic

Dr. James is a native of Flemington, NJ. He grew up a competitive wrestler moving on to the Division I wrestling program at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Over 15 years of repetitive injury during his wrestling career caused multiple disc herniations in his neck. Fortunately, he was referred to a chiropractor for help. He began getting adjusted regularly and thanks to chiropractic, his disc herniations were resolved.

His improved health through chiropractic adjustments inspired him to become a chiropractor himself. Dr. Winget completed his graduate studies at Life University in Marietta, GA. He moved to Raleigh and has been serving the people of Wake County since 1995.

Dr. Winget’s mission is to ensure that everyone in this community understands the simple principle – that your body is designed to heal itself.   When stresses in our lives cause a shift in the spinal column, this can block nerve flow from your nerves to all cells in your body. Over time this can lead to sickness and disease.

He has cared for thousands of people of all ages in the triangle area and would look forward to taking care of you!

Dr. Winget has advanced studies in human wellness, nutrition, chiropractic neurology and spinal decompression. He has trained extensively with some of the most respected experts to bring the latest knowledge of human wellness back to the community. Over the past 15 years he has been pioneering the way for corrective care in the state of North Carolina. In 2004, Dr. Winget received the Mertz award of excellence for patient care.

In his spare time he enjoys golf and time with his family. He is an active member of Celebration Family Church.

The Doctors are members of the International Chiropractic Association, the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association and the North Carolina Chiropractic Association

Dr. Jill Winget, Doctor Of Chiropractic

Dr. Jill’s life was also changed by the power of the adjustment.  Having suffered from headaches from age 14, she tried many interventions seeking relief with no real success.  At age 21, she received her first chiropractic adjustment.  Within only a few weeks from beginning her adjustments, the headaches were gone and she has not suffered with headaches & migraines in over 20 years.  She was so amazed by this that she made the decision to change her course of study to chiropractic.  She completed her B.S. in biology from Utica College of Syracuse University and her Doctorate at Life University in Marietta GA.

Dr. Jill has advanced studies in spinal decompression, nutrition, wellness, chiropractic neurology and pediatrics.  She works mainly with new patients in their initial evaluations.   Dr. Jill works regularly within the community at corporate wellness events including NC State University, Wake Med, Department of Corrections, Spa Health club, and Gold’s gym, O2 Fitness, IBM, Sony Ericsson, Pepsi, Time Warner, Golden Corral and various departments within the North Carolina State Government.  She understands that healthy lifestyle promotes a healthy body and has passion for sharing that with others.

Dr. Jill enjoys running, biking, boating, reading, the beach and time with their daughter Emily.

Dr. Mark Workman

Experience and genuine care for his patient’s well-being has been the underlying force guiding his healing care.  Dr. Workman says, “there is something about knowing that a Doctor has truly listened to your needs and will do all he can to help you…this kind of care is scarce in an age of mass production.”  Dr. Workman is a 2003 Graduate of Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic with a B.A. from Luther College.

Dr. Workman relies on his experience as a Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Specialist, strength & conditioning coach, and Graston Technique Practitioner.  His experience with neuromuscular conditions and soft-tissue injuries using low-force Activator techniques, sports chiropractic, graston and FAKTR-PM techniques allows Dr. Workman to detect adhesions and restrictive scar tissue.  He has also served as the Chiropractor for Campbell University Athletics.

In his spare time he enjoys golf, working out, traveling and spending time with his family. Dr. Workman is a 5-time All-American Triathlete, 3-time Ironman finisher, and World Jumprope Championships qualifier.

Member of North Carolina Chiropractic Association

Sam

Sam is a Certified Chiropractic Assistant. Here at RSC she assists patients with Spinal Decompression Therapy, Neuropathy Treatment, Spinal Correction Exercises and Nutritional Consultations. She also works as our personal injury, insurance and billing manager.

She is a North Carolina native raised in Burlington, NC. In 2013, Sam discovered her love for working as a Chiropractic Assistant and has stayed in the healthcare field ever since. She truly understands the importance of chiropractic care and has been getting adjusted since she was 16 years old.

Outside of the office you can find her spending time with her little boy, hunting with her husband, or in the gym lifting weights.

Taylor

Taylor is our technical assistant. She works primarily one on one with patients’ performing progress examinations, teaching exercises that are personalized for patient’s care along with spinal decompression and other therapies. She grew up in Williamsburg, VA with her two older sisters and younger brother. Taylor graduated from Meredith College in 2011 with a degree in psychology and a minor in communications. After graduation, she moved to Ireland for the next 4 years. Upon her return to the states, she moved to Florida where she first became introduced to a life in chiropractic. As a long-distance runner and overall advocate for health and wellness, Taylor became passionate about the concept of healing her body naturally while promoting the benefits of regular adjustments.

Taylor’s most recent adventure took her to Australia for 2 years where she lived for an extended period of time, in both Sydney and Cairns. She moved to Raleigh in January 2022 and is excited to finally be back where a majority of her Meredith friends still reside.

In her free time, Taylor enjoys running, spending time visiting her parents or siblings, and traveling to new places in an attempt to work her way through a very extensive bucket list!

Katherine

Katherine is our newest addition to the RSC family. She recently moved to the Raleigh area and has loved getting to explore the new area. She handles patient correspondence with scheduling, payments, and keeping the flow of the office going smoothly.

Katherine graduated from East Carolina University in 2021 with her Bachelor’s of Social Work. Her passion has always been to help others and she is excited to apply that to her work here at RSC. She is new to the chiropractic world and is intrigued to learn more about Holistic Health.

While not working, you can probably find Katherine exploring what this new city has to offer, shopping at antique stores, and taking weekend trips to Charlotte to visit her family.
